The Cape and Islands United Way is "much more than money". During the last two "Day of Caring" events hundreds of volunteers "did good" throughout the region.
We are proud to be the single largest non-governmental funder of human service programs on the Cape and the Islands. We provide over $ 1,000,000 of local program support annually. Read More

A note from a visitor to Cape Cod... JUNE 2009
My name is Tony Mascaro and I am a fellow United Way colleague. I am also a subscriber to Cape Cod Life and saw the wonderful announcement/article on your upcoming event. While I will be vacationing down on the Cape later this month, my time there will not coincide with your event. Therefore, (I have made a) contribution to the Cape & Islands United Way towards the price of a ticket, knowing that all proceeds do make a difference to those in need on the Cape and Islands. It is too easy for society to look at resort communities and see the perfection that attracts us to be visitors. However, a different lens actually sees that there are too many who do not benefit from these sights and sounds, let alone, even the basics of life that many take for granted. Your (Cape & Islands) United Way uses that lens to seek out and attempt to provide positive, lasting change in someone’s life.
