Director of Community Impact (part-time), Cape and Islands United Way
Beth Bowman joined the Cape and Islands United Way in August of 2016 as the agency’s first Community Impact Officer. In this role, Ms. Bowman is responsible for working with grantees and partners to make lasting change across the Cape and Islands through sustainable projects. Ms. Bowman is a licensed independent clinical social worker with nearly 20 years of experience in the settings of substance abuse, mental health and child welfare. Most recently, she served as Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Performance Management and Accountability at the New Jersey Department of Children and Families. There she provided leadership in the development and implementation of performance improvement and accountability work. She has a B.A. from Drew University and holds a Master in Social Services from Bryn Mawr College.
