Lisa, a retired school adjustment counselor, currently living in Mashpee, has been involved with the Cape and Islands United Way since 2011. She has served on the Community Investment Committee, where she reviewed grant applications and took part in the decision-making process on final grant recipients.
Prior to her retirement in 2011, she worked for twelve years as an adjustment counselor at an elementary school in Medway, MA, and in a similar capacity for three years prior to that in Mansfield, MA. Throughout that time, she counseled children, worked with parents, and supported teachers. She hopes that her professional background and passion to help children and their families will be an asset to the board.
Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Pennsylvania State University, and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston. She and her husband Doug lived in Easton, MA. For 31 years, where they raised their two children. After owning a seasonal home in Mashpee for many years, they decided to make Cape Cod their permanent residence in 2016.
